Hope United Survivor Network is a community collaborative

Hope United Survivor Network is Gaston County’s Family Justice Center, providing support and resources to survivors of trauma. We serve the community through two locations—one in downtown Gastonia and one at the courthouse—ensuring survivors have access to the help they need when they need it most.

Hope United Survivor Network is a community collaborative working in one location to provide victims and survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and elder abuse a safe and secure place to get the help they need.

Hope United Survivor Network is here to support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse, and other forms of violence in Gaston County.

We provide free, confidential support and connect survivors with the services they need in one safe and accessible place. Our advocates walk alongside you to offer emotional support, safety planning, court advocacy, and connections to community resources such as law enforcement, legal support, and counseling services.

Who We Help

We serve individuals and families impacted by violence at any stage in their healing journey. You do not need to be in immediate danger or crisis to reach out for support.

Whether something just happened, happened in the past, or you are unsure about your situation, you are welcome here. Support is available whenever you are ready.

Court Accompaniment

Can someone attend my court hearing with me?

You don’t have to face your protective order hearing alone. Our staff can accompany you at the courthouse, and our contracted attorney can represent survivors during protective order hearings at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Appointments are preferred to ensure adequate time for each individual situation.

Yes. Child care assistance is provided. This service is available for appointments at the center as well as court proceedings. Just let a staff member know that you will need assistance with child care and they will be happy to schedule it for you.

No. You will never be charged for any services by Hope United Survivor Network.

Free parking is available in the back parking lot located off S. South Street. There is signage in the parking lot to help you find our building.  Please call Hope United Survivor Network at 704-862-6783 if you have any difficulty finding our location.

Yes. We understand the importance of having your support system around you at this time. We encourage you to bring someone if that helps you feel safer. We may ask your friend or family member to wait in the lobby in order to ensure confidentiality for all clients.
